Thanks to all the wonderful staff at CAKE the copy of our wedding cake was unqualified success. We appreciate all the effort you put into making our day the sweet event it was. The cake was superb. It was beautiful and delicious. I could not have asked for better service or product. Everyone asked about the baker and we told them all of your shop. Thanks again.

The pirate treasure cake was a hit! The kids and parents couldn’t wait until we sang “Happy Birthday” to Catalina and cut the cake. The chocolate cake was served with caribbean blue vanilla ice cream and treasure trinkets that had been placed inside the cake. Catalina turned 4, a birthday she will remember for many decades to come! Thank you for a very memoriable birthday.

Ladies,

I was talking with some friends today about my birthday party and they brought up how amazing they thought your banana fudge truffle cake was. I believe the exact quote was: “OMG. Your CAKE! That was the best cake I’ve ever, *ever* had!”

As for me, I could do with a slice of that delicious coconut cake right about now… Mmmm.

Dear Kimberly, Jennifer & Christina,

We are SO past due in letting you know how very special (and delicious) you made our wedding day! Every couple wants to know that their guests anxiously await their wedding cake. Isn’t that one of the best parts of the day? Well, not only was the banana chocolate truffle devoured, but the cake itself was so exquisitely designed. We came to you with ribbons from our “colors”and provided you with a vintage 50’s bellcake topper (the same one my husband’s parents used on their wedding day) and you created our dream cake…just perfectly for us!

So, here we are a year later and my husband reminds me we have the top of the cake buried deep in the freezer for our anniversary. Um-m-m-m….I am not sure how much I was looking forward to ingesting the freezer burned portions. He was very excited about the romance of our 1st anniversary, and all. (Secretly a store bought backup dessert lay in wait) Our anniversary arrives, we dine and return home. My husband goes to the fridge and pulls out a BEAUTIFUL re-creation of a NEW Anniversary cake that you gals made for us, for our day!!!!! A NEW fresh and delicious cake top…..and boy was it the best romantic treat! I felt quite spoiled and decadent.

All that said, we have been happily married now for a little over a year and the sweetness continues…that we can partially thank you all for!

Dear Cake and all that had a finger in the making of our wedding cake,

The cake was beautiful, and although I didn’t get a HUGE slice to myself, many of our guests said it was the best chocolate cake they had ever had in their lives. People were fighting the servers for a slice. That being said, I will be purchasing a personal cake in the future so I can sit in a dimly lit room and eat it till I pass out from sugar overload.

The raspberry top layer was sent home with us and my family and neighbors devoured it within an hour of us inviting them to the house.

You far exceeded our expectations and made many people very happy.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are now the Matys-Gleason personal bakers and our lives will never be the same.

The cake was AMAZING…almost too beautiful to eat! We were thrilled with the final product and luckily with the sheet cake and your generous portions we got to save the top tier…so lovely. The detail, taste, and gold laurel leaves were truly astonishing. My daughter’s party is winding down, and I have just finished my slice of “Chinese New Year” cake. I had to write and tell you how overwhelmed I am with the outstanding quality of the cake, the gorgeous, artistic design and the pleasant experience I had dealing with your business. The cake is absolutely delicious, and just exquisitely beautiful. Everyone who tasted it raved about the wonderful flavor and texture. Hi Kimberly!

Thank you SO MUCH for the fantastic grooms ‘cake of Qualcomm Stadium that you made for us for the Thompson/Bleha Rehearsal Dinner at Bertrand’s at Mr. A’s Friday, March 13. It was quite the hit of the evening! The look on my son’s face when he saw it, was priceless. All the workers at Bertrands, as well as the guests who saw it that day/evening were in awe of what you created. The Bertrands’ captain, who took care of our reception that evening, told us how when he came on for his shift, the pastries chef asked him if he had seen the “cake” yet. He said “no” and was then led into the refrigerator cooler, where it was being kept. He told us how his mouth dropped open in amazement and wondered if this had been done for one of the SD Charger players, and who was to be joining them that night. I gave him one of your business cards, and he said to me that many times he has calls from groups who are having a lunch or dinner at Bertrands at Mr. A’s, and they ask if there is any cake bakery that he would recommend for the event. He said that he would definitely keep yours on file to highly recommend on to any inquiry. Hopefully this will bring you some well deserved extra business!!!

These photos were taken from when we first took it to Mr. A’s. I will send a second batch of photos to you from when it was brought out during the event itself. I know that this is more than what you need, but you can select what you want.

I hope you got pictures of it – but if you didn’t, I had our professional photographer take some – so you should definitely put it on your website.

The size itself was one of the most impressive things – all the detail you put in to the fondant on the sides was over the top amazing!

A very big THANK YOU to you and your staff for such a gorgeous, gorgeous and delicious cake! The celebrants, the guests, and especially myself enjoyed the cake! My friend and her husband absolutely did not want to cut the cake because it was so pretty, and once they finally did, it was all gone in minutes.

The cake was far more beautiful than I ever thought it could be with the colors and design that I had given you. Not only did it look good, it tasted so good too!
